Diane Davis Adkins

Diane Davis Adkins, age 86, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018 at Four Winds of Jackson. She was born July 28, 1932 in Jackson, Ohio to the late Sherman and Margaret (Hodge) McClung.

Diane enjoyed playing bridge, cooking and baking. She also loved music, dancing, and horses. When her health allowed, she attended the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson. She was a former member of the Junior Women’s League of Jackson, in which she spent many years making and selling fudge at the Jackson County Apple Festival. She was a great mother, wife, and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of others. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Gwyndra (Mike) Keefe; son, David (Tobie) Davis; grandchildren: Kelly Keefe, Kristen (Mike) Godbe, Sean (Nicole) Keefe, Evan (Jessica) Davis, and Emily (Brian) Wintemberg; great-grandchildren: Jack Godbe, Harper and Nolan Keefe, Hailey, Evan, and Jacob Davis, and Luke and Lily Wintemberg; step-grandson, Bryan Yates Cantrell; sister, Janice (Ron) Osborne; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur L. Davis; her second husband, John Adkins, Jr.; and sister, Betty Ruth Chapman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev.
