Dennis Edward Arthur, age 68, of Wellston, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born March 29, 1953, in Portsmouth, Ohio, son of the late David E. Arthur and Virginia A. Reed Arthur. Dennis was a 1972 graduate of Wellston High School. Following over 30 years of employment, he retired from Pillsbury in Wellston, where he worked in the sanitation department. Dennis was a very quiet, but hardworking man who enjoyed going camping, working puzzles, watching Sci-Fi shows on T.V. and taking care of his cats. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Dennis is survived by his son, David Earl Arthur; grandchildren: Tyler Hill, Cheyenne Arthur, Josey Arthur, Shasta Arthur and David Arthur; great-grandchildren: Maliki, Matuaha, Zyon and Rosibella; sisters: Sue Logan, Mary Richardson and Jane Wilbur; along with several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Larry Arthur and sister, Linda Shott.
