Danny Dean Rawlins

Danny Dean Rawlins, age 61, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020. He was born March 9, 1959 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Peggy (Smith) Rawlins Isreal and the late Billy Neal Rawlins. Danny was reared in the home of his great-aunt and uncle, the late David and Mattie Wallace.

In addition to his mother, Peggy, he is survived by former wife, Lisa Adkins and many friends.

Danny graduated from Oak Hill High School, Class of 1977. After graduation he worked a short while at Goodyear Tire & Rubber. He spent the greater part of his life cutting timber for Adkins, Strickland and Saylor Logging & Timber. Danny was a hard and devoted worker. He had many hobbies including Nascar, show trucks, Harley bikes, and helping people with rides.

He was a kind person and a wonderful son and had so many wonderful friends. The past couple of months, his mother had the privilege to care for him 24/7. They shared tears, laughter, and great times but most of all they just spent time together. She will miss him and all these times.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2020 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2020 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
