Damon “Bobby” Lee Hill

Damon “Bobby” Lee Hill, age 38, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2020, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  He was born Oct. 8, 1981 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Damon Lee Hill and Anita Lynn Gilliland Hill. 

Bobby was a carpenter and welder who enjoyed race car driving and participating in demolition derbies.  He had a great sense of humor and was always making people laugh. 

He is survived by his mother, Anita Hendricks of Wellston; sons, Damon Bobby Lee Hill II, Brock Andrew Hill and Bryce Aaron Hill, all of Chillicothe; grandson, Colton Joseph Alexander Hill; siblings, Fawn Hill, Cory Hill, Kelly Franco, Missy Thacker, Damon Hill II, Tami Fox, Lisa Rosetta, Tommy Tucker, Lee Hill, Casey Good, Larry Queen, Michael Cantrell and Melinda Cantrell-Matteson; girlfriend, Briana Lynn Pierce; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Damon Hill; siblings, Rona Marie Hill, Billy Gilliland, Bobbie Jo Hill, Mandy Hill and Shane Hill; and nephew, Michael Dupre. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a private funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston, with Pastor Steve Mathews officiating.  Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions be given to the McWilliams Funeral Home to help with expenses.
