Colt Rainer, age 35, of Wellston, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019. He was born Oct. 24, 1983 in Gallipolis, Ohio to Terry Lee Rainer and Kathy Lynn Cheatwood Rainer.
Colt graduated with the Wellston High School Class of 2002. While in high school, Colt was active in WHS sports and art and received several awards in both. He was employed as a PCC through Ohio Allied Bricklayers Local #5.
Colt loved his children and enjoyed spending time with them. He also enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and he loved playing with and taking care of his dogs.
Colt is survived by his mother, Kathy Rainer of Wellston; children, Miley and Brason Rainer of Chillicothe; brother, Jason Rainer of Wellston; niece and nephew, Braley and Pacey Rainer of Wellston; aunts, Elaine Hill (Melvin) and Pam Davis (Paul), all of Wellston; uncles, Ron Cheatwood (Pauletta) of Wellston and Jim Cheatwood (Dee) of Florida; as well as several other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his little dog, Debo.
Colt was preceded in death by his father, Terry Rainer; and his dachshund, Dixie.
Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 7 p.m. with Pastor Barry Benson officiating. Cremation will take place and burial will be at the convenience of the family in Ridgewood Cemetery.
