Clyde Taylor, age 85, of Jackson, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus. He was born May 13, 1927 in Gallia County to the late Charles and Edna (Rife) Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Davis) Taylor; children, Karen (Dave) Howard, Brenda (Tom) Perry, Teresa (Mike) Costilow, Bryan (Jill) Davis, Mike (Rebecca) Davis; and daughter-in-law, Becky Taylor. He is also survived by grandchildren, Zack (Niki) Taylor, Jake (Kristen) Taylor, Josh (Jamie) Costilow, Brandon (Gen) Davis, Anna (Derek) Creamer, Jeremy (Heather) Davis, Katy (Jimmy Jones) Davis, Erika (Scotty) McNerlin, and Amelia Davis; 12 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Alice (Tom) Brisker, Ivan Taylor, Carl Taylor, Doris Miller, Mary Dameron and Edie Ridgeway.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis (Grimes) Taylor; son, Larry Tate Taylor; an infant daughter, Cathryn Taylor; and siblings, William Taylor, Harold Taylor, Grace McGhee and Dorothy Lewis.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with Pastor Terry Cavanaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, February 28, 2013 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
