Charles Samuel “Sam” Boring

Charles Samuel “Sam” Boring, age 62, of McArthur, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at his residence. He was born September 20, 1952 in Gallipolis, Ohio, to the late Charles and Joann McLaughlin Boring. Sam was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He was the owner and operator of Boring’s Garage in McArthur and was a member of the FOE #2279 in McArthur.

Sam is survived by his siblings, Debra Sims (Mike), Tracey Robinette (Roy) and Jeffrey Boring, all of McArthur; nieces and nephews, Casey Thompson, Amy Sims, Jared Sims and Corey Robson, all of McArthur; aunt, Mary Alice Acord of Creola; as well as several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Pamela Boring. In keeping with Sam’s wishes, there will be no services and his body was cremated. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society, 555 Frantz Road, Dublin, Ohio 43017.
