Charles J. Ingalls, Jr.

Charles J. Ingalls, Jr., age 86, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020, at his home.  He was born July 27, 1933 in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late Charles J. Ingalls, Sr. and Mary A. Mahle Ingalls. 

Charlie was the owner and operator of the former Ingalls Used Cars in Wellston for several years.  In his younger years, he attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wellston.  Charlie’s passion in life was anything to do with cars, and he also enjoyed fishing and dirt racing. 

He is survived by his wife, Merry J. Pierce Ingalls; children, John Ingalls (Judy) of Wellston, Chuck Ingalls (Diane) of Jackson, Kathy Ingalls of Albany, Jean Ann Warrington of Wellston, Amy Ervin (Paul) of Jackson and William Exline (Nan) of Florida, as well as eight grandchildren. 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Tom Exline.

In keeping with Charlie’s wishes, his body was cremated.  Private burial will be at the convenience of the family in the Mt.
