Charles “Charlie” Adkins, age 63, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Holzer in Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born October 18, 1950 to the late Everett and Ruth (Tope) Adkins in Oak Hill, Ohio.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Kay Adkins of Oak Hill, Ohio; two sons, Kenny Adkins and Chris Adkins, both of Oak Hill, Ohio; two granddaughters, Kaylee and Regan; three brothers, Dennis Adkins and Mark Adkins, both of Florida, and Tony (Jo) Adkins of Wilkesville, Ohio; three sisters, Tina (Kenny) Newsom of Wilkesville, Ohio, Rosalie (Phil) Combs and Samantha (Jeff) Lundy all of Chillicothe, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Pam Howard (Rex), and Hope Colmer (Tharin) of Minford, Ohio; two brothers-in-law, George (Janice) Colmer of Minford, Ohio, and David (Sandy) Colmer of Utica, Ohio; as well as several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was a brother, Robert Adkins; and a sister, Leasha Adkins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill, Ohio. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery in Oak Hill, Ohio with Rev.
