Catherine C. Kocsis ONeillCatherine C. Kocsis ONeill, age 95, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Edgewood Manor of Wellston. She was born September 12, 1916 in Wellston, Ohio, the daughter of the late Edward and Sophia Mahle Doyle. Catherine was a graduate of Wellston High School. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Catherine is survived by two daughters, Judy Merrill of Wellston and Rosemary Kocsis of Chillicothe; one son, John Bonnie Kocsis of Brea, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Patty Cook of Waverly, Janet Shane Cox of Chillicothe, Christy Keith Faught of Jackson, Doug Tammy Merrill of Jackson, Michael Bobbie Jo Merrill of Wellston, Brian Keller of Dublin, Shannon Kocsis of Brea, Calif. and Christopher “Kit” Kocsis of Brea, Calif., as well as nine great-grandchildren, Felicia, Danielle, Shayna, Brandon, Jesse, Josh Ashley, Aaron, Nick and Zach. Besides her parents, Catherine was preceded in death by her first husband, George Kocsis; her second husband, Charles “C.P.” ONeill; two brothers, Leo Doyle and Charles Doyle; one sister, Mary Peacock; son-in-law, Francis “Frank” Merrill and one great-great-granddaughter. Calling hours will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston where rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Mass of Christina Burial will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Sts.
