Carroll “Moto” Dixon, age 75 of McArthur, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bonnie (Darnell) Dixon, and sons: Greg Dixon of Columbus, Randy Dixon of Prattsville, Jeff (Maria) Dixon of Jackson and Brian Dixon of Prattsville. Carroll also had a son, Rick Norman, from a previous marriage. Also surviving are a granddaughter, Stephanie Dixon; grandsons: Jeremy Dixon of Columbus, Zachary and Elijah Dixon of McArthur; and a great-grandson and his “little buddy” Bentley Dixon, as well as several other step-grandchildren.
Carroll served 40+ years with the Wellston Recreation Department, and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2008.
