Carol Jean (Ross) Sears, age 81, of Jackson, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Aug. 26. Carol was born July 5, 1940, in Jackson, Ohio to the late Elba Ross, former Chief of Police of Jackson, and Geraldine Ross.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Sullivan and granddaughter, Becky (Andrew) Sheldon all of Rochester, New York. She is also survived by her siblings: Earl Ross Thelma Harper, Paul Ross, Larry Ross, and Stanley Ross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Sears; son, Linuel “Buck” Wilson; and siblings: Helen Ryan, Ida Kearns, and Carl Ross.
Carol was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Jackson.
No funeral services will be held at this time, but a memorial service is planned for later this year. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity or to the Christ United Methodist Church, 150 Portsmouth St., Jackson, OH 45640.
