Bruce D. Harris

Bruce D. Harris, 53, of Wellston, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born on December 7, 1961 in Ray, Ohio, son of the late William “Willie” and Dorothy Harris.

A very skilled mechanic, Bruce was most well-known for his ability to fix lawn tractors and weed eaters. He “never knew a stranger” and would do his best to help anyone in need. He enjoyed fishing and demolition derbies, but most of all spending time with his family and friends.

Bruce is survived by his loving family — brothers: Sam, Matt, Randy, Bill (Patricia), and Jim (Patty) Harris; sisters: Bonnie (Glenn) Plummer, Tammy Harris, Shirley Huckens, Della (Lloyd) McQueen, and Robin Harris; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Timmy Harris.

A funeral service celebrating Bruce’s life will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., Wellston, with Pastor Billy Whitt and J. R. Croston officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m.
