Brook Lynn Williams, age 38, of Waverly, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020. She was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina on June 10, 1982.
She is survived by her father, Brian K. (Michelle) Williams; mother, Brenda Lee (Covert) Williams; her children: Dylan and Cierra; grandmother, Helen Williams; a brother, Bobby Williams; a step-brother, Paul Orndoff; and a half-sister, Breanna Williams. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Brook loved her children and spending time with them. She graduated from Jackson High School where she was involved with the band and baton twirling. She had also attended Shawnee State University and Southeastern Business College.
Funeral services will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 2 p.m., with Walter “Bub” Norris officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
