Brian Hollback

Brian Hollback, age 50, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born August 9, 1964 in Blackfork, Ohio to the late Marlin “Cowboy” and Nancy (Jones) Hollback. Brian grew up and lived in Blackfork before moving Oak Hill. He was employed by AP Green of Pyro, Ohio for over 30 years.

He is survived by his loving family: wife, Gwen (Lewis); daughter, Taylor and son, Wesley, both of Oak Hill, Ohio. He loved and was very proud of his family. Other survivors include his brother, Rick (Susan) Hollback of Jackson, Ohio; sister, Yvonne (Jeff) Hollback Rohrs of Marysville, Ohio; brother, Aaron (Susan) Hollback of Wellston, Ohio; father and mother-in-law, Calvin and Beverly Lewis of Oak Hill, Ohio; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved buddy, “Big Un”.

Brian will always be remembered as a fun-loving and avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Kentucky Wildcats. He enjoyed sharing time with his buddies, watching games or just sitting and talking. Some of Brian’s hobbies included four-wheeling, hunting, and paint-balling. He especially enjoyed fishing and riding his Harleys.

The family would like to pay a special thanks to close neighbor and special friend, Wendi Waugh for all she has meant and done for the family. They would also like to extend special thanks to the Southern Ohio Cancer Center and Southern Ohio Medical Center for the care and compassion they showed Brian and the whole family.

Friends may call at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill, Ohio on Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. A service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2015 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Stan Howard officiating.
