Brent Causey

Brent Edward Causey, age 38, of Jackson passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the Holzer Medical Center of Gallipolis, Ohio. He was born February 16, 1983, in Ross County, Ohio to the late Fairley and Paulette Brown Causey. Brent graduated from Jackson High School and was employed by the Jackson County Highway Garage for 20 years. He was a member of the Sideliners association and volunteered as a Peewee football coach for several years. He was very active with 4-H and loved to farm; however, most importantly, he loved spending time with his wife and boys, fishing and drinking Ski.   

Brent leaves behind his loving wife and best friend: Danielle Causey; sons: Hunter, Jordan and Harley Causey; mother-in-law, Marla Folden; brother-in-law, Daniel (Amy) Hubbard; sisters-in-law: Jafar Smith, Jon Plummer and Christy Smith; uncle, Marvin Folden; aunts: Carla Wolford Nutter (Ron) and Missy (Jason) Smith; brothers and sisters: Byron, Melissa, Evan, Kent, Lance, Alex, Suzanne and Geneva Causey; very special friends: Deb McCoy, Missy (John) Nelson and Mario (Trishia) Bautista. He was also survived by several nieces, nephew and many close work friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; Grandpa and Grandma in-laws: Marvin and Connie Sexton Folden; father-in-law, Woody Smith; special friend Bob McCoy; and two infant siblings: Paul David and Anitra Marlena.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 27, 2021, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Ratliff officiating and burial to follow in the Fairview Tick Ridge Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2021, at the funeral home. Anyone wanting to donate to the family may make donations at Jackson County Banking.
