Bonnie Joy Dixon, 77, of McArthur, Ohio (long time resident of Wellston, Ohio) passed on April 6, 2022, at OSU/Wexner Medical Center.
Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was loved by all who knew her. She fiercely loved her family – once driving overnight through a level three ice storm to be present for her grandchild’s birth. Her family and friends will greatly miss her, her Jackson County veals and especially her no bake cookies.
Bonnie was a caring and compassionate person to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Carroll (Moto) Dixon; parents: William and Mary Ferrell Darnell; brothers: Ezra, David, Donnie and Billy Darnell; sisters: Wanda and Ruth Ann. She is survived by her sons: Greg (Becky), Randy, Jeff and Brian Dixon; grandchildren: Jeremy, Alexis, Susan, Stephanie, Zach and Eli. Bonnie was also survived by her sister, Dinah; and her great grandson, Bentley, who she raised till her illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral home with her son Brian Dixon officiating. Burial is to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
