Betty Lou Mayhew

Betty Lou Mayhew, 82, of Circleville, Ohio, left the arms of her family and entered her heavenly home on Wednesday evening, June 25, 2014 at Logan Elm Health Care in Circleville. She was born in Wellston, Ohio on February 5, 1932, daughter of the late Gerald and Lucille Thorp Jones. She was a 1950 graduate of Wellston High School and a cashier at the Wellston, Jackson and Columbus Kroger stores. She was a member of the Cross Roads Church of Circleville. She was an avid walker in her spare time.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Taborn, and two brothers, James Jones and Gary Kent Jones.

Surviving are her husband, Charles R. Mayhew; two sons, Roy Vickers of New Straitsville, Ohio, and Dan Mayhew of Chillicothe, Ohio; two daughters, Tereasea Mullins of Columbus, Ohio, and Frances Smith of Ramona, California; two sisters, Jane (Mike) McManis of Wellston and Joyce (Dick) Figlestahler of Jackson, Ohio; and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston on Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will be Monday at 4 p.m. at the Jenkins Chapel with Pastor Paul Elswick officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery in Wellston.
