Betty J. Sheppard, age 59, of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Holzer of Jackson. She was born May 6, 1956 in Chillicothe, to the late James and Mary (Lambert) Israel.
Betty was retired from Jackson Vinton Head Start as a teacher’s aide. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by husband, Terry Sheppard; children, Paul Humphreys and Joshua Humphreys; grandchildren: Matthew, Cayden, Madisyn, and Brynlee; siblings: Patricia Myers of Jackson, Gloria Jane (Gene) Lochbaum of Chillicothe, Virginia (Fred) Linton of Columbus, John Israel of Jackson, and Jimmy Israel of Jackson; as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 17, from 2-8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 18, at 2p.m. with Pastor Butch Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Campbell Cemetery.
