Betty Alice (Rose) Kuhn

Betty Alice (Rose) Kuhn, age 87, of Oak Hill, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020 at Four Winds in Jackson.  She was born Jan. 2, 1933, in Wolfe County, Kentucky, to the late George and Jessie (Lutz) Rose. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, Charles L. Kuhn, Jr., on Nov. 4, 1974 and her siblings, Robert Rose, Ray Rose, Virginia Kuhn and Eddylea Estep. 

Betty enjoyed cooking and caring for her family.  She always wanted a house full of children around her, as well as working in her flower garden. 

Betty is survived by a daughter, Susan Marcum, of Bidwell, Ohio; and sister, Ruby Luff, of Mountain Home, Arkansas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michelle Looney (Todd Coleman), of Oak Hill and Bobby (April) Looney, of Vinton, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Abigail and Gabriel Coleman, of Oak Hill, Madyson Looney and Chance Martin, of Vinton, Ohio as well as many nieces, nephews, and a multitude of children and friends throughout her life.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Alzheimer’s unit and staff at Four Winds for their care of Betty.      

Friends may call Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill from 12 to 2 p.m.  Funeral services will immediately follow the calling hours at 2 p.m. with Rev.
