Bertha Louise Martin Cramer, age 93 of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away August 10, 2014 at Heartland of Jackson. She was born in Louisa, Kentucky on March 24, 1921 to the late Margaret (Bowe) and Ellis Hamilton. Bertha attended the Evangelical Community Church and retired from GC Murphy Company, she also worked for a number of years at the Senior Citizens Center of Oak Hill.
Bertha is preceded in death by her first husband Clarence Martin as well as her second husband Donald Cramer. Aside from her parents, she is also preceded in death by her mother and farther-in-law, Elizabeth and Earl Martin.
Bertha is survived by five children; Clarence Marvin Martin, Lowell David Martin (Janet Ann Herbert), Joyce Marie (Martin) Hughes (Sheridan W.), Barbra Ann (Martin) Nelson (Denver L. Jr.), and Janet Ruth (Martin) Rowell (Phillip). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; Kelly (George) Mead, Sheryl (Scott) Vanantwerp, Angela (Carey) Rhoads, Andrea (Craig) Claypool, Susan (Mark) Huffman, Carla Appel, David Rowell, Stephen (Alanna) Nelson, Douglas (Jennifer) Nelson. Also surviving are sixteen great-grandchildren; Kendra Mead, Joseph Herron, Brittany Herron, Zachary Herron, Zachary Rhoads, Ashley Rhoads, Jack Claypool, Jennifer Hayes, Jessica Hayes, David Huffman, Daniel Huffman, Lillian Nelson, Ryan Nelson, Katlyn Nelson, Emily Nelson, David Schultz. As well, Bertha is survived by three great-great-grandchildren; Abagail (Abby) Herron, Grayson (Gracey) Olivia Herron, and Cole Herron.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the Evangelical Community Church in Oak Hill with Pastor Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Horeb Cemetery. Friends and family my call Tuesday August 12, from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home in Oak Hill and again from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. at the church on Wednesday.
