Bernard “Bernie” Edward Keppler

Bernard “Bernie” Edward Keppler, age 87, of S.R. 335, Beaver, Ohio, died Wednesday December 26, 2012 at the Four Winds Community Nursing Facility in Jackson, Ohio.

He was born December 14, 1925 in Beaver, Ohio, a son of the late Philip and Lulu Gilland Keppler. He was united in marriage April 20, 1947 to his wife, Helen Balzer Keppler, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Gary (Brenda) Keppler of Beaver, Ohio and David (Sue) Keppler of Beaver, Ohio, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one brother, Fred Keppler of Phoenix, Arizona.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Minnie Boyd.

Mr. Keppler was a member of the Beaver Emmanuel Methodist Church, was a 1943 graduate of Beaver High School, owned and operated Keppler’s Hardware & Lumber Yard, and was the last remaining charter member of the Beaver Lion’s Club.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will not be observed. Arrangements are under the direction of the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio.
