Benjamin T. Clifton, Sr., age 87, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 27, 2013. He was born May 14, 1925 in New Augusta, Mississippi to the late William Conrad and Catherine (Thompson) Clifton.
Ben was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. Ben attended White Oaks Road Baptist Church, health permitting.
Ben is survived by a son, Travis; grandson, Conrad; great-granddaughter, K’Lynne; sisters, Thelma (Milton) Owens, Aileen (Hugh) McAdams, Annette (Tolemen) Mills and Eulah (Harry) McKnight.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, whom he married April 2, 1954; two sisters, Rosa Lee (Byron) Matthews and Loie (Woodrow) Creel; and two brothers, Lonnie (Evelyn) Clifton and Lewis (Zettie B.) Clifton.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Gallia Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Giles officiating.
