Barbara Ellen (Davis) Myers, age 74, of Oak Hill, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, surrounded by her family. She was born October 3, 1947, in Oak Hill to the late Willard and Gladys (Dunn) Davis.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald “Bud” Myers; daughter, Julie (Myers) and Kevin Adkins; granddaughter, Jordan (Chandler) Adams and her husband Jesse Adams; grandson, Derrick Adkins; and great grandchildren: Rhett, Clara and Clay Adams. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, James (Karen) Myers; niece and nephew, Aaron Myers and Angela Myers; and several great nieces and nephews and many friends.
Barb was a first-grade teacher for 36 years at Gallipolis City Schools. She then taught for Oak Hill Schools for 10 years until her retirement. She remained in close contact with many of her former students. She will be missed by all who knew her.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Monday, January 17, 2022, at 2 p.m. at C.M. Cemetery with Rev. Herman Stewart officiating.
