Arthur Franklin “Frank” Watters

Arthur Franklin “Frank” Watters, age 64, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 at his home. He was born April 1, 1952 in Hamden, Ohio to David J. Watters, Sr. and Barbara Ann Watters (Walton).

Frank was a veteran of the Unites States Marine Corps who served during the Vietnam War. He was the former bookkeeper for the V.F.W. Post 9092 in Wellston for 17 years. Frank was a member of the American Legion Post 371 of Wellston, the V.F.W. Post 9092 of Wellston and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed being outdoors and living life!

Frank is survived by his mother, Barbara Watters Walton of Wellston; daughters, Tonia Ostby of Minnesota and Natasha Watters of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Sierra, Shyann, Dakota and Kara; brothers, John Watters and Donald Watters, both of Wellston; sisters, Margaret Katherine McCoy of Jackson, Judy Douglas of Georgia and Janet Mangert of Columbus, along with several nieces and nephews.

Besides his father, David Watters, Sr., Frank was preceded in death by his step-father, Paul Walton; son, Arthur Franklin “Frankie” Watters, Jr.; sister, Emily Jane Leach; and brother, David J. “Duck” Watters II.

In keeping with Frank’s wishes, his body was cremated. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com
