By | February 26, 2020

Anneta Kay Causey (Malone-Arthur), age 59, of Jackson, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 24, 2020 after a period of illness spent at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. She was born Aug. 18, 1960 in Ironton, Ohio to the late Darvin (Dewey) and Beulah (Johnson) Malone and was the fourth of five children.

She attended school in Oak Hill and Jackson and graduated from Southeastern Ohio Business College.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her previous husband, Donald Gene Arthur; a son, Ryan Arthur; and two sisters, June Causey and Theresa Crabtree.

Anneta is survived by her husband, Rick Causey; son, Paul Thomas, Jr. (Amy) Mullins; daughter, Ann VanDyke; daughter-in-law, Nicole VanDyke; two stepdaughters, April (Sean) Blevins and Beth Causey; brother, Eddie (Jaunita) Malone; sister, Gloria (Willie) Borders; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was known as a horrible driver but that never stopped her from taking road trips! She was small in stature but made up for it with superior verbal skills which served her well in her career at the phone company and against telemarketers in her retirement. She again put her superior verbal skills to work to help keep her grandkids and great-grandkids in check and also to express her love for her family. Most importantly they were used to express her love and ministry for the Lord.

A funeral service will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ron Bynum officiating and burial to follow. Family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 9 a.m. up until time of the service at 11 a.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson. Condolences may be sent to www.mayhew-brownfuneralhome.com
