Anna Lucille (Adkins) Crabtree

Anna Lucille (Adkins) Crabtree, age 87, of Jackson, Ohio, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020 at Four Winds nursing home.  She was born in Midkiff, West Virginia on Oct. 30, 1932 to the late Matthew and Esta (Bragg) Adkins.

Anna is survived by daughter, Bonnie (Steve) Coleman of Jackson, Ohio; sister, Thelma (Delmar) Rakes;  brother, Reed (Naomi) Adkins of Troy, Ohio; grandchildren, Marvin Lee Landrum, Rodney Landrum, and Angela (Kevin) Henderson; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Dakota, Austin, Ashley, Lindsey, Nathan, and James; and she also has seven great-great grandchildren.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Elmo David Crabtree; and brothers, Gordan Adkins, Corbin Adkins, Frank Miller, Junior Lovejoy, Albert Collins, and Tommy Adkins, all of West Virginia.

Anna was a faithful member of the Jackson Apostolic Church for many years, where she served as a Sunday school teacher.  Anna retired from the Jackson plastics plant after working for 53 years.  She loved her co-workers like family.  Anna was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend to all who knew her.  She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends.  Anna was greatly loved and will be missed by all that knew her.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Jackson Apostolic Church. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 19, 2020 at 1 p.m. at the Jackson Apostolic Church with Pastor Richard Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
