Ann Frances Finch

Ann Frances Finch, age 91 of Jackson, passed away at Holzer Medical Center in Jackson on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. She was born in Jackson County, Ohio on April 20, 1925 to the late Alfred and Harriett V. (Parks) Finch. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John F. Finch, and two sisters: Alice Almay and Ruth Stinson.

Ann is survived by nieces and nephews: Rachael (Keith) Turner, John (Wanda) Finch, Patti (Jim) Reynolds, Dick (Pat) Almay, Joe (Crystal) Finch and Ted (Vickie) Almay. Eleven great nieces and nephews, and fourteen great-great nieces and nephews also survive.

She was a retired librarian from the Jackson City Library and a bookkeeper for G & J Auto Parts. Ann was a 1943 graduate of Jackson High School, a member of the Presbyterian Church, and an avid Ohio State fan. Most importantly, she loved to spend time with her nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30 at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Janie Karl and Pastor James Shuman officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 2 hours prior to the service on Friday from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Jackson City Library, 21 Broadway Street, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
