Ada L. Long

Ada L. Long, age 87, of Wellston, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, March 16, 2015, from her earthly home. She was born July 27, 1927 in Wellston, Ohio, the daughter of the late Emmanuel E. Fout and Ida Watts Fout Householder.

Ada was a former employee of the Jackson County Senior Citizens and the Jackson County Municipal Court. She attended the former Wills Chapel Church and she enjoyed quilting, crocheting, attending church and talking and visiting with her family and friends.

Ada is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Robert “Bob” and Darlene Long of Wellston; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Ray Reynolds of McArthur and Billie Jo and Raymond Frisby of McArthur; grandchildren, Tami Ervin of Wellston, Bobby Long of Wheelersburg, Brian Pittman of Toledo, Jeff Pittman of Maine and Rick Reynolds (Angie) of McArthur; great-grandchildren, Seth, Tori, Taylin, Kayla, Zoe, Alaina, Chase, Landon and Nevaeh; nephews, Paul Eddie Christian, Larry Christian, Terry Fout and Steve Fout, as well as many friends.

Besides her parents, Ada was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Edgar L. Long, whom she married on February 20, 1946; sister and brother-in-law, Lula Belle and Paul Christian; brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Katie Fout; brother-and-sister twins, Virgil Ray Fout and Virgi Mae Fout; two nieces and one nephew.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with John Pelletier, CLP officiating. Burial will be in the Hamden Cemetery.
