Ada Beulah Waugh

Ada Beulah Waugh, also known as “Nanny” by many, age 94, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014 at her residence. She was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 17, 1920. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Waugh; parents, Kent and Pearl (Cooper) Clay; adoptive parents, William and Lillie (Henson) Clay; brother, Johnny Waugh and sister, Bertha Ellen (Waugh) Stephenson.

She is survived by daughter, Gail (Larry) France; grandchildren, Alicia (Danny) Horn, Michael (Pam) Waugh, Sherry (Gary) McSorley, Jennifer (Lowell) Burchett and Jay (Monica) France; great-granchildren, Mark Skinner, Kirstie Horn, Justin Horn, Ezekiel Waugh, Cierra Hunt and Ariance Hunt; great-great-granchildren, Jazlin, Breon and Zahar Sparrow; sisters, Georgeanne (Carl) Wormsley, Bess Porter and Doris (Beecher) Wellman; brother, Jack (Connie) Waugh; brother-in-law, Carl Stephenson; and lots of nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Wills Chapel Church, and she loved to sew, quilt and line dance.

Friends will be received at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home Saturday, Nov. 8, from 4 to 8 p.m., where funeral service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Condolences may be e-mailed to www.mayhew-brownfuneralhome.com
