Rogan Charles Vickers, age 19, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022, from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born June 30, 2003, in Chillicothe, Ohio to Jeffrey Wayne Vickers and Mary Elizabeth Scurlock Vickers.
Rogan was a 2021 graduate of both Wellston High School and Buckeye Hills Career Center. Right after graduating high school, Rogan was employed with Lang Masonry and was presently employed with Kokosing Construction. Rogan loved the benefits from his hard work – as in collecting the money! He was an outdoors person who had a knack with guns and loved hunting, fishing, mud running in his Jeep and spending time in the woods putting feed out for animals. He was a member of Laborers Local Union #423 out of Columbus and the Sons of the American Legion Post 371 in Wellston.
Rogan is survived by his parents: Jeff and Mary Vickers; sister, Megan Vickers; grandparents, Wayne and Cindy Vickers; aunt and uncle, Kim and Alan Seitz; along with several great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends, including special friends: Connor Bates, RJ Kemp and Jeff Rogan; and his furry friends: Scrappy and Cooper. He was preceded in death by grandparents: Wanda Scurlock and Mike Scurlock; and great-grandparents: Bob and Jean Seitz, Hugh and Margaret Scurlock, Charles and Pat Wyckoff, and Ruby Vickers.
Rogan had a kind and loving heart and was always fun to be around. In Rogan’s own words, he would say “Keep on keepin’ on.”
