Kathleen “Kathy” (Reed) Hammond, age 63, of Jackson, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 20. She was born Dec. 26, 1957, in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late James and Hazel (Nelson) Reed.
Kathy attended Jackson High School and obtained her GED. She worked at General Mills for 43 years. She loved the outdoors, loved running her dogs, and she adored her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gary Hammond; his children: Chastity (Terry) Mullins and Shila Hammond; grandchildren: Connor Hammond and Landon Bentley; siblings: Nancy Anderson, Howard Reed, and Brenda (Matt) Waulk; sister-in-law Sharon Reed; several nieces and nephews; and fur babies, Sugar and Candy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy (Chris) Reed and Clyde Reed as well as her fur baby, Cookie Girl.
Kathy and Gary were “two peas in a pod” and did everything together. They loved each other deeply, and she will forever be missed.
