Wilford Goble

Wilford Goble, age 81, of Jackson, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Edgewood Manor in Wellston.  He was born April 20, 1937 in Wheelwright, Kentucky to the late Bill and Sammie (Conn) Goble.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marjorie (Curtis) Goble, of Jackson; son, Skip (Donna) Goble, of Circleville; grandchildren, Veronica, Jennifer, Stefanie, Kristi, Matthew, Brandi; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Roger (Elizabeth) Goble.  Also surviving is his special nephew, Glenn Goble, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Steven and Avery Goble; brother, Don Goble; and sister, Betty Savilla.

Wilford served in the United States Army.  He then went on to become the assistant chief of police in Sweeny, Texas.  He was also a member of the Gideons for 47 years. 

Friends may call Tuesday, March 19, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Trinity Chapel.  Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Trinity Chapel CCCU in Jackson with Pastor Knox Bullock officiating.  Burial will follow in the Goble family cemetery.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to Cindy Workman for her special care.  Arrangements are by Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home, Jackson.
