Wilbert (Bus) King

Wilbert (Bus) King, age 84, of Oak Hill, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis. He was born August 5, 1927, in Lawrence County, to the late Emory and Estella (Barnhart) King. He was a World War II veteran who proudly served his country, a beloved husband and father.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Les, Hank and Loren, as well as a sister, Dorothy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Leora King; children, Mike, Debbie, Cathy and Diane; grandchildren, Jody, Leon, Stephanie, Sarah, and Carly; great-grandchildren, Collin, Kendall, Caden, and Myah; and sisters, Ruth and Helen.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 4, at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill (formerly Kuhner-Lewis) with burial to follow in Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A military graveside service will be conducted by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 45 of Jackson.
