Weldon “Ben” Snyder

Weldon “Ben” Snyder, age 82, of Xenia, Ohio, and formerly of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at his home. He was born October 23, 1932 in Oak Hill, Ohio. He was raised in Oak Hill by the late Ernie and Ernestine Brofford.

Ben retired from Dayton Coca-Cola after 27 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Delores (Christian) Snyder of Xenia, Ohio; children: Rodney (Bobbie) Stiffler of Xenia, Ohio, Dale (Pat) Stiffler of Xenia, Ohio, Diane (Rick) Pewitt of Jackson, Ohio, Bobby (Jenny) Stiffler of Wilmington, Ohio, Chris (Ray) Lewis of Jackson, Ohio, Teresa Noval of Moraine, Ohio, Kim (Dwayne) Richmond of Xenia, Ohio, and Denise (Matt) Elliott of Canal Winchester, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ted (Vonda) Snyder of Oak Hill, Ohio; half-brothers, Harland Snyder and Kenny Snyder; and half-sister, Marilyn Adkins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and Bob Bentley.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill, Ohio. A service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Horeb Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillumfuneralhomes.com
