Virginia P. Ward

Virginia P. Ward, age 85, of Wellston, and a former resident of Dundas, received her heavenly reward on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018. She was born Feb. 16, 1932 in McArthur, Ohio to the late Forest Zinn and Hannah E. Pierce Zinn.

Virginia was a 1950 graduate of McArthur High School. She was a former home health aide who was employed by the Vinton County Health Department. A spunky lady, Virginia loved to sing and she enjoyed reading. Virginia loved her granddaughter, Hannah, as well as spending time with all of her family members. She was a member of the First Christian Church in McArthur and she attended the Coalton First Baptist Church. Virginia was also a member of the Sereno Chapter #128 Order of the Eastern Star in McArthur.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Brad and Joanna Michael of Dundas, along with one niece, three nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, William Max Ward in 1984; granddaughter, Hannah Nicole Michael; and siblings, Harold Zinn, Ida Zinn, Dorothy Zinn, and Jean Morgan.

Calling hours will be Friday from 12 to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Eastern Star service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. followed by her funeral service with Pastor Andy Rawlins and Pastor Barry Bolin officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Cemetery in McArthur.
