Tressa (Keels) Davis

Tressa (Keels) Davis, 91, died at Jenkins Care Community on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. She was a resident of Triumph Street in Jackson for nearly 50 years. She was born November 29, 1923 in Washington Township in Lawrence County, to the late Clem and Gail (Watson) Keels.

Tressa is survived by daughters, Linda (Jim) Ragland and Donna (Leon) Howard; son, Greg Davis; six grandchildren, Steven, Tressa and Marquis Howard, Jason (Stephanie) Ragland, Kendra and Kyle Davis; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Weldon Keels; and sisters, Mary Keels, Lula Mae Anderson, and Virginia Crump.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Davis; son, James Davis; brothers, Rowland, Ray, Eldon, and Turley Keels; sister, Thelma Martin; and two grandchildren, Kevin Howard and Angela Ragland.

Family and friends may call at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson on Saturday, May 2, from 12-2 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home immediately following visitation at 2p.m with Robert Gustin, Elder Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Garden in Coalton.
