Thomas G. Keaton

Thomas G. Keaton, age 66, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016 at Heartland of Jackson. Thomas was born December 9, 1949 in Beaver to the late Jason (Bear) and Martha Jane (Frazier) Keaton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Keaton, of Springfield and one sister, Judy Keaton Dinnen, of Beaver.

Thomas is survived by Jeannie Keaton; three daughters, Krystal Keaton Rawlins (Kenny Boyd), Tish (Cody) Huff, Michelle (Billy) Reffitt; two sons, Jim Vest and Eric Vest, all of Jackson. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Shayne Ray, of Toledo, Britani Ray, Amber Rader, Ronald Duncan Jr., Ashley Pennington, Thomas Duncan, Steven Rainey, Jim Vest Jr., Austin Vest, Levi Vest, Lexi Vest and Lali Vest, all of Jackson; 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and special niece Tonja Campbell and Glen Campbell, of Springfield.

Thomas had a love for his friends and telling stories about their life adventures. He believed life was complete if you had plenty of stories to tell and he had plenty. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting, something he shared with his great-grandson, Kaidyn Barker and took pride that he was teaching him to love the outdoors, as he did. He loved fishing, and enjoyed sharing that with one of his life-long friends, Jerry Bobo. Thomas will be missed beyond measure by all family and friends, but never forgotten.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
