Thomas E. Nichols, age 82, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at his residence. He was born October 30, 1931 in Marion, Kentucky to the late Charles and Minnie (Ratliff) Nichols.
He is survived by eight children, Connie Edingler of Columbus, Ohio, Toni Jarvis of Columbus, Ohio, Timothy (Brenda) Nichols of South Charleston, West Virginia, Thomas (Rose) Nichols of Wellston, Ohio, Charles (Stephanie) Nichols of Aviamo, Italy, Jennifer Gray of Jackson, Ohio, April (Timothy) Gamble of Oak Hill, Ohio, and Steve (Teresa) Riddle of Tarlton, Ohio; 25 grandchildren; several great- and great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was his wife, Maxine Nichols; a son, James Alan Nichols; one brother, Sam Nichols; and three sisters, Lida Ann Blanton, Viola Trace and Nancy Kuhn.
A funeral will be held at Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill, Ohio on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Horeb Cemetery.
