Stacia Suzanne Allison, age 48, of Jackson, went to her heavenly home with the Lord on Friday, Aug. 9, 2019. She passed away at her home surrounded by her family after a five-year battle with cancer. She was born Dec. 20, 1970 in Columbus, Ohio. She was the daughter of Carolyn Phillips Allison and the late Jack Allison.

Stacia graduated from Jackson High School in the Class of 1989. Stacia served for eight years in the Army Reserves, Unit D CO ST 1st BN 56th AD TC from 2004 to 2012.

She loved all outdoor activities including kayaking, camping, dirt bike riding and fishing. She looked forward every year to her wine and “cookie” weekend that she and “the girls” (Joy, Terri, Jenny, Ragene) did every December.

Stacia is survived by her mother, Carolyn Allison; brothers: Ken (“Kimmy” to Stacia), (Helen) McIntosh, Scott (“Scotty” to Stacia), (Teresa) McIntosh; nieces: Cassie (Jeremy) Channell, Brianna McIntosh, Brenna McIntosh, Joyce (Tommy) Perkins, Jackie (Fred) Zupp; grand-nephews, and grand-nieces, cousins and many, many, friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.

Arrangements are: viewing Tuesday, Aug. 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 11 a.m. until the funeral at 1 p.m., at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home.

To honor Stacia’s request, cremation will follow. Burial will follow at a later date at Fairmount Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Jackson County Dog Pound or a local Food Pantry.
