Shirley J. Harrison, age 69, of Jackson, passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born November 6, 1946 in Chelyan, WV to the late Sam and Dola (Withrow) Browning.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, David Harrison; daughter, Missie (Troy) Pendleton; grandson, Aaron Pendleton; brother, Sam (Trudea) Browning; brother-in-law, Zeke Glasgow; nephew, Matt (Bonita) Glasgow and niece, Lori (Brad) Haynes, all of Jackson.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Charles “Buddy” Browning; sister, Becky Jo Glasgow; and an infant daughter, Denise Harrison.
Shirley was a member of the Good Shepherd Wesleyan Church in Jackson for almost 40 years. She retired from the Atomic Plant. She loved her flowers and planting in her flower beds, but most of all she loved watching her grandson, Aaron Pendleton race.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with Pastor Rick Christman officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
