Sharon Kay Cruse

Sharon Kay Cruse, wife of James Edward Cruse, age 62, of Jackson, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Scioto County, Ohio to the late William and Gladys Pitts. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Cecil Pitts.

Sharon was a 1974 graduate of Minford High School. After marriage, she lived with her husband and children in Jackson, Ohio. Sharon was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Throughout her service in church she held many roles and served in many positions.

She is survived by husband, James Edward Cruse, whom she married on April 6, 1975 and sealed for time and all eternity in the Washington, D.C. Temple on Aug. 30, 1991. Also surviving are her sons, Jason Edward Cruse and Chad Matthew Cruse; daughter, Shandi Kay (Cruse) Wilbur; son-in-law, Billy J. Wilbur; daughters-in-law, Maydelma Tuba Cruse and Nicole (Crabtree) Cruse; grandchildren: Corbin Dallas Wilbur, Zion Kalel Cruse and Kye Phoenix Wilbur; sisters, Shirley Crabtree, Donna Vance and Sheila Moore; brothers: Willis Pitts, Dennis Pitts and Casey Pitts. She is also survived my many nieces, nephews and many other loved family members and friends.

Friends may visit on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will begin at 4 p.m. Monday with President Gary Madden officiating. Burial will follow in German Salem Cemetery, west of Jackson off of State Route 776.
