Shannon Elaine Dawson, age 54, of Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. She was born in Riverside, California on June 1, 1964 to the late Joseph L. Ghiloni and “Tobi” (Moyer) Ghiloni, who survives.
Besides her mother, she is also survived by husband, Mark Dawson; her son, Joseph M. Dawson (Kim); her daughter, Jayni D. Cordell (Lara Lanning); and three grandchildren: Justice Cordell, Joshua Cordell and Jalyna Cordell.
In addition to her father, Shannon was preceded in death by her brother, Andy J. Ghiloni.
Shannon loved reading Stephen King books and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook, enjoyed gardening, and had a great sense of humor.
Funeral services will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the service, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Arrangements are by the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home and Southern Ohio Cremation Services in Jackson.
