Sarah E. “Betty” Collins, age 87, of Wellston, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Heartland of Jackson. She was born April 4, 1929 in Greenup, Kentucky to the late Charles and Agnes (Ingels) Moore.
Betty was a loving mother and homemaker. In the past, she enjoyed cooking for the Shiloh Shrine Club in Wellston and she was a member of the Baptist faith.
Betty is survived by her sons, Henry Collins (June) and Jimmy Collins, both of Florida, and Rodger Long (Diana) of Oak Hill; sister, Virginia Harris of Ashtabula, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and countless friends.
Besides her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James Collins; daughter, Roxie Collins Leach; three brothers and two sisters.
Graveside service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Salem Cemetery in Wellston with John Pelletier, CLP officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com
