Rosalie Peters

Rosalie Peters, age 89, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Jenkins Care Community in Wellston.  She was born Jan. 19, 1930 in Marion, Ohio, daughter of the late Fred A. French, Sr. and Nora R. Peoples French. 

Rosalie was a 1948 graduate of Wellston High School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, who loved her animals and enjoyed taking walks, riding her bike and working in her yard.  Rosalie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wellston. 

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Carla and Wesley Perry of Wellston and Mindy and Todd Colburn of Albany; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Kelly Peters of Georgetown, Indiana; grandchildren, Ashley Nicholas (Joseph), Aaron Perry (Chelsey), Jordan Colburn, Logan Colburn, Christopher Peters and Kyle Peters; and great-granddaughter, Allison Nicholas. 

Besides her parents, Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Carl W. Peters, in 2003; brother, Fred A. French, Jr.; and half-brother, Edwin Ault. 

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.  Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Kelly and Pastor Steve Mathews officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery.  Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com.
