Ronald Roger “Ron” Crabtree

On Wednesday, March 25, 2020, Ronald Roger “Ron” Crabtree, devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend passed away peacefully at home while watching his westerns, at the age of 79. He was born April 3, 1940 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Homer and Lucille Crabtree.

Ron graduated in 1959 from Oak Hill and always said, “I wasn’t a fan but I went anyway!” After high school he went into the Army, where he proudly served his country. He was an avid Trump supporter.

On Sept. 29, 1973, Ron married the love of his life, Irene. They were married 47 years during which they raised two daughters, Jennifer and Crystal and one bonus daughter, Megan Lynn.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Crabtree; daughters, Jennifer Bevard, Crystal Hughes, and Megan Crabtree; four grandsons: Ashton, Mason, Nick, and Charlie; one granddaughter, Alaina; and one great-granddaughter, Piper that was his whole world; sister, Donna Boggs; and life-long best friend, Lonnie Delaney.

He was a father figure to his nieces, Karen Young and Lynn McElroy. He also leaves behind four sisters: Priscilla Lahrmer, Donna Boggs, Loretta Tobert and Wanda Waugh.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, June Seymour.
