Ronald Dwight Sexton

Ronald Dwight Sexton, age 80, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020 at Oakwood Care Community of Jackson. He was born April 28, 1939 in Jackson, Ohio to the late William C. and Ama Jane Cain Sexton.

Ronnie was employed for many years as a truck driver for Davis Trucking. He enjoyed fishing and playing music. Ronnie was a talented fiddle player and also played the guitar.

He is survived by his two daughters, Rhondalene Elizabeth Sexton, of Jackson, Ohio and Sabrina Dawn Sexton, of Utica, Michigan; former wife and mother of his children, Juanita Dulaney, of Jackson, Ohio; granddaughter, Michelle Mefford, of Jackson, Ohio; great-grandson, Garrett Graham; siblings: Doris Hacker, Marlene Simpson, Thomas Sexton (Marlene), Connie Folden, Lela Cooper (Bill), and Garry Sexton (Kathy), all of Jackson, Ohio; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his grandson, Eric Brandon Keyser; siblings: Eileen Sexton Tackett, Myrtle Arleta Sexton Keller, Joyce Rosalie Sexton Scott, William C. Sexton, and Floyd V. Sexton; and special friend, Marva Rankin.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home with Pastor Butch Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
