Robert W. “Bob” Martin, Sr., age 58, of Wellston, passed away peacefully Monday morning, July 27, 2015 at his home. He was born July 11, 1957 in Wellston, Ohio to Walter Richard Martin and Virginia Davis Martin.
Bob was a 1975 graduate of Wellston High School. He was a detail draftsman, who was formerly employed at McNally-Pittsburg Manufacturing in Wellston, W.R. Ramsey & Associates in West Virginia and Betts Drafting in Allensville. Bob enjoyed golfing and woodworking.
He is survived by his parents, Walter Richard “Dick” and Virginia Martin of Wellston; his loving wife of 39 years, Jean Norton Martin; children, Danyeal Lanhart of Wellston and Robert W. Martin, Jr. (Erica) of Wellston; grandchildren, Gabriel Lanhart, Abigail Lanhart, Logan Martin and Lilly Martin; siblings, Sandy Balzer of Jackson, Richard Martin (Carolina) of Columbus, Ed Martin (Terri) of Wellston, Bryan Martin (Bonnie) of Wellston and Deanna Derrow of Wellston; father-in-law, Earl F. Norton, Sr. of Wellston; sister pet, Cricket, as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Kaye Norton.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Lung and Rev.
