Robert Floyd Exline

Robert Floyd Exline, age 75, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Friday, Nov. 16 after a lengthy illness. He was born on Aug. 14, 1937 to the late Floyd (Pod) and Daisy Exline.

Bob was an accomplished athlete at Jackson High School and went on to play football at The Ohio State University under Woody Hayes. He later played minor league professional baseball with the Detroit Tigers.

“He loved watching and talking about sports with those around him, and certainly remembered every play of every game he was ever in,” a family member said. “How we will miss those stories!”

Bob is survived by daughters, Beth Exline and Chris (Kurt) Grau; his grandchildren Kaley and Ryan (whom he loved dearly); his brother, Roger (Brenda) Exline; nieces, Darcy George and Casi Exline; aunts, Janie Exline and Mary Wingett; and his uncle, Art Exline.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Nov. 18 at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at a later time.
