Richard E. “Rick” Pierce

Richard E. “Rick” Pierce, 60, of Radcliff, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017 at his home. He was born on Aug. 12, 1956 in Wellston, Ohio, son of the late William Virgil Pierce and Wanda Bowen.

Rick proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for four years and two additional years with the Marine Corps Reserves. A very skilled mechanic, Rick worked on heavy equipment, but also enjoyed just tinkering around in the garage on small projects. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting, or riding four-wheelers on the property. Most of all, Rick enjoyed spending time with family and friends, grilling out and cooking.

He is survived by his wife, Terri (Sexton) Pierce; brothers, Jimmy, Joe and wife, Chris, and Tony and wife, Tina; sister, Judy and husband, Jim; as well as five nieces and nephews and numerous cousins and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy and Jeff.

Friends will gather on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 West Broadway St., Wellston, where a memorial service celebrating Rick’s life will follow commencing at 3 p.m. Burial with full military honors will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery.
